U.S. Marine Corps VH-60N

Supporting the executive transport mission for the President of the United States, the VH-60N is a twin engine, all-weather helicopter flown by Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1).  First delivered to HMX-1 in 1989 as a replacement for the VH-1N, the VH-60N executive transport helicopter was derived from both the U.S. Army's UH-60 Black Hawk and the U.S. Navy's SH-60 Seahawk aircraft.  Modernization of the aircraft through a Cockpit Upgrade Program to address obsolescence issues and provide upgraded capabilities will enable operation of the aircraft for many years to come.

Rockwell Collins supplies the common flight deck for the VH-60N helicopters using our Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) that was first fielded on the U.S. Army's Special Operations helicopters. Our CAAS cockpit includes five multi-function displays, control display units, and integrated processing units in a modular open systems approach that is based on commercial standards.
